Bangor Hydro Electric Company Prepares for Weekend Storm

Bangor, ME--Bangor Hydro Electric Company crews will be standing by in anticipation of possible storm-related power outages tonight and Saturday morning.

"We have additional line crews, and electricians on call," said Susan Faloon, Bangor Hydro's Communications Officer. "We'll also have tree crews available if needed and additional customer service staff."

"The snow is expected to turn to freezing rain by morning and that is of particular concern to us," Faloon said. "We're as prepared as we possibly can be."

Customers are reminded that downed power lines and trees touching downed power lines are never safe to touch or remove. Customers may call Bangor Hydro’s Customer Service Center to report a power outage, downed line or other power emergency at 1-800-440-1111. Updated outage information is available at www.bhe.com.
