Bangor Hydro Electric Company Announces New Manager of Field Operations

Bangor Hydro Electric Company recently appointed Dan McCarthy as Manager of Field Operations.

McCarthy will assume the responsibility of managing Bangor Hydro's line and electrical operations, as well as fleet and storeroom operations.

"I'm proud to have been given this responsibility," he said, "and this opportunity to help Bangor Hydro achieve its goals."

He began his employment with Bangor Hydro in 1978 as a Meter Reader Apprentice. Since 2004, he has held the position of Superintendent, Electrical Operations & Meter Tech.

Over the past four years McCarthy has achieved consistent success in his area of responsibility with demonstrated leadership skills and attention to detail. He has demonstrated growth and prowess in areas such as safety, work planning, project execution, HR policy implementation, and budget development and tracking. Despite pressures that have resulted in increased workloads, his group has consistently achieved exceptional results.
