Bangor Hydro-Electric Company Requests Charitable Giving Program Applications

Bangor, ME: As part of its Charitable Giving Program, Bangor Hydro-Electric Company is requesting not-for-profit agencies and organizations from throughout the Bangor Hydro service territory to submit funding request applications to this Program.

The people of Bangor Hydro-Electric Company strongly believe in providing support for the improvement and enhancement of the communities in which they serve. The goal of the Charitable Giving Program is to provide meaningful support to not-for-profit organizations and causes which have one of these focuses: educational, economic, social, healthcare, humanitarian or cultural. Pre-qualifying criteria for application submissions requires that the not-for-profit agency/organization provide services or benefits to people and/or communities within the Bangor Hydro service territory.

Charitable giving requests will be reviewed, selected and distributed on a quarterly basis. First quarter applications will be accepted through January 31; second quarter applications will be accepted from April 1 to April 30; third quarter applications will be accepted from July 1 to July 31; and fourth quarter applications will be accepted from October 1 to October 31.

Not-for-profit agencies and organizations interested in requesting financial support through the Charitable Giving Program, may download an application form and information packet at the Company’s website located at www.bhe.com.
