Bangor Hydro and Maine Public Service are proud of our efforts which support our communities. Past recipients of our assistance have included:

In addition, our employees devote thousands of hours every year to charitable causes which are near and dear to their hearts, serving on boards and committees for Boy Scouts, Bangor Y, Maine Snowmobile Association, Bangor Humane Society, Ronald McDonald House, Homeless Services of Aroostook, and more. All told, between outright charitable donations, community sponsorships, employee volunteerism, and gifts-in-kind services, Bangor Hydro and Maine Public service donate more than $500,000 annually to worthy causes.
Our Beliefs on Charitable Giving
With so many worthwhile organizations in need of assistance, how do Bangor Hydro and Maine Public Service decide where to designate donations?
We believe in contributing where we can truly make a difference – both with our time and our financial resources. We choose causes where we believe our impact will be a source of pride for our employees. We give where we live. And we want our employees to see the difference our contributions are making in the communities in which we live, work and play.
