Bangor Hydro Electric Company’s commitment to the community is in a class by itself. Our United Way employee campaign is consistently rated among the highest of any company in eastern Maine, typically raising in excess of $100,000 annually, including the corporate match.

Finally, the company endorses several worthy activities throughout the year such as a back-to-school supply drive for Manna Ministries, a Thanksgiving turkey drive, and a holiday toy drive for Hands of Hope and the Salvation Army Angel Tree. All told, between outright corporate contributions, gifts-in-kind, gifts of services, and more, Bangor Hydro and its employees donate more than a half million dollars annually to the people and communities we serve.
