Bangor Hydro Electric Company’s commitment to the community is in a class by itself. Our United Way employee campaign is consistently rated among the highest of any company in eastern Maine, typically raising in excess of $100,000 annually, including the corporate match.

Year after year, our employees generously give to various non-profit causes through their time as well as financially. Among the events and activities our employees take part in each year:

All told, between outright corporate contributions, gifts-in-kind, gifts of services, and more, Bangor Hydro and its employees donate more than a half million dollars annually to the people and communities we serve.
