Welcome to Quick Check^sm, Bangor Hydro's online calculator which lets you, our residential customer, perform a "quick check" of your daily electricity use.

Quick Check^sm is easy to use. Our monthly statements show a column labeled "Energy Comparison," with your "KWH Per Day" use for this month (as well as last month and one year ago).

To use Quick Check^sm, your browser must have JavaScript
enabled.

INSTRUCTIONS
First, once you have a copy of the bill you wish to check, you'll enter the following information on the next screen:

• Number of adults in your family (age 13 and older)
• Number of children in your family (age 12 and under)
• Your primary home heating system
  (If you use electric heat, you'll be asked how many rooms have electric heat registers in them.)
• Whether or not you use an electric water heater
• Whether or not you use an electric clothes dryer

With that information, point and click on the "Quick Check^sm" button. You'll be shown a range of typical  kiloWatt Hours (kWh) per day of electrical use based on your answers. This is a general estimate based on our research of our consumer averages, not a precise evaluation of your specific home electricity consumption.

RESULTS
If the amount of KWH per Day on your billing statement is significantly higher than the range Quick Check^sm reports, call Bangor Hydro and we'll review your energy usage with you.
