Our goal is to provide you with the necessary information to establish electrical service in a prompt and timely manner. We will make every effort to ensure the process meets all reasonable expectations of you, the customer.

Although Bangor Hydro will strive to meet your expectations, there are certain times when unforeseen situations arise that are beyond our control which could possibly delay the process (i.e., emergency outage work related to storms or accidents, backlogs in work load and on occasion complexities with certain rules and regulations mandated by state and local municipalities).

The process for establishing service in most cases will take approximately eight days for a simple service drop (installing a line from pole to house) and up to 14 weeks for services that require more than just a simple connection.

Our field technicians will contact you within three business days of your initial request to Bangor Hydro. The service planner will then arrange for a visit to review the site and provide an accurate estimate of when service will be delivered.
